As it is established by Anet with the Santa Hat, Antlers, and Pumpkin/Jack O' Lantern hat, and now the Dragon Mask, it would seem this is going to be continuing in future, I would like to suggest a couple of idea's as to how Arena Net could make them more useful.

Idea 1:
Give us a special hat holding bag to store them in on each character, allowing us to check mark which one we want to be seen as the active hat and give it the same stats as the regular headgear armor the character is currently wearing.

Then the person could set the santa hat to show at christmas time but still get the benefit's of whatever their normal armor headgear gives them.

Idea 2:
When redeeming/collecting a new hat, it comes with whatever the stats on the currently worn headgear has.

With this idea, they could make special event armor sets, not just headgear for us, and they would come with whatever stats are on the currently worn piece of armor the character is wearing when they redeem whatever the collectable item is to get the special design armor bit.

nice idea. it'd be fun to get dressed up at special times of year as a whole team and go killing stuff. ya know, without loosing all the armor you had...
